About the tour

Come hungry and with your best walking shoes on!

Many tourists experience the Danish capital's beautiful city center, but few venture a short walk away to the city inside the city: Frederiksberg. Join me for a food-focused walking tour of the area that was once home to the royal family's summer retreat and is now teeming with bakeries, bars, restaurants, and some of the area's most stunning green spaces.

What's included
  • Delicious food and drinks from 5 of the city's best and oldest establishments

  • Stories and insights from a local guide

  • Small groups of 8 or fewer so we can really maximize the hygge

Please note:

  • The tour is about 5 kilometers/3 miles long, so between 8 and 10,000 steps.

  • I recommend this tour for ages 10+, but kids of all ages are welcome!

How it started

Few things unite people like great food and unforgettable stories.

As a Frederiksberg resident myself, I love this pocket of Copenhagen for so many reasons! It's bursting with places to eat, drink, and simply enjoy life at a slower pace than the bustling city center.

I grew up in the United States but have called Denmark home since 2017. 🇩🇰 Inspired by walking tours I've taken around the world, I launched this walking tour in 2025. My goal is to share a piece of Danish hygge the best way I know how: food and storytelling.

Hope to see you soon!
